What microneedling does
Microneedling creates controlled micro-channels that signal the skin to rebuild collagen. At K | E Skin Studio it is used for mild acne scarring, roughness, enlarged-looking pores, fine lines, and pigmentation that has not responded to facials alone.
This is the strongest single facial treatment on the menu. It is not a same-day event service. Expect redness for a day or two, and the best results from a series spaced 4–6 weeks apart rather than one isolated visit.
Who it is for — and who should wait
Good candidates want lasting texture change and can pause retinoids beforehand. I ask you to stop retinol, Retin-A, and other retinoids at least 5 days before any treatment.
Active cystic acne, open wounds, and very reactive flare-ups are better served by a gentler visit first — often NanoInfusion or a calming facial — then microneedling once the skin is stable. If you are unsure, start with the skin quiz or a virtual consultation ($50, applied to a service within 30 days).
Microneedling vs. NanoInfusion
Microneedling reaches deeper and is the choice for scars and firmer texture. NanoInfusion uses nano-channels with no downtime and is the better fit for sensitive, rosacea-prone, or event-week skin. Many clients do NanoInfusion between microneedling sessions, not instead of a series when scarring is the goal.

Does microneedling hurt?
You will feel the device, and the skin looks flushed afterward. Numbing is part of a proper 90-minute visit. It is more intense than a facial or NanoInfusion, which is why it is reserved for texture and scar concerns.
How many sessions do I need?
One session refreshes tone. Acne scarring, roughness, and etched lines usually need the series of three, spaced 4–6 weeks apart.
What is the downtime?
Plan on redness for about 24–48 hours and skip makeup the day of. Do not book it the week of a wedding or photos.
