Dermaplaning in Charlotte, NC

A dermaplaning facial — not a five-minute add-on rushed between clients. Sterile blade, then massage, LED, and a customized mask, in a private loft at Rea Farms.

Dermaplaning Facial $170 · 75 minutes

What the facial includes

Dermaplaning lifts dead surface cells and vellus hair (peach fuzz) so skin looks smoother immediately and makeup sits flat. At K | E Skin Studio the facial continues after the blade: massage, LED light therapy, and a mask chosen for your skin that day.

Results are instant and temporary. Hair does not grow back darker or thicker — that is a myth — but the smoothness fades as the skin cycles, usually over a few weeks. Many clients pair it with a facial peel add-on ($40) when they want more brightness and are not using a retinoid.

When to skip it

Do not dermaplane over active eczema, psoriasis, rosacea flares, or inflamed acne without a consultation. A blade on compromised skin makes it worse. If redness is the actual problem, NanoInfusion or an oxygenation treatment is the honest recommendation.

Stop retinoids at least 5 days before. If you are unsure whether your skin can take it, book the $50 virtual consultation — the fee applies to a service or product within 30 days.

Questions

Before you book

How much is dermaplaning in Charlotte?

The Dermaplaning Facial is $170 for 75 minutes. As an add-on to another service it is $40.

Does peach fuzz grow back thicker?

No. Vellus hair grows back the same texture. It can feel blunt at the tip for a few days, which people sometimes mistake for thicker growth.

Can I wear makeup after?

Most clients apply makeup the next day. The skin is smoother immediately, so foundation needs less product — and also shows any active breakouts more clearly.

Is dermaplaning safe for sensitive skin?

Only if the skin is calm. Active rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, or inflamed acne should not be bladed. Ask me first, or start with NanoInfusion.

How often should I book it?

Every 3–4 weeks lines up with the skin cycle. Closer than that is unnecessary and can leave the barrier thin.
